Left Menu
The technology driving the left menu within the administration panel has been changed from Java to DHTML for increased speed and usability. No downloads are required.
Improved Error Handling: Error Inserting or Updating an Item
Within the Administration Panel, if you are adding or editing an item and an error occurs, a message is displayed indicating the issue and how to correct it to proceed.
For example, within the Order Status Editor if you add a new order status that has the same name as an existing order status when you click Add the following message will display:

Database Usage Alert
Within the Administration Panel Homepage we have added an alert message that indicates database usage. This message displays when your database size is within 10% of the total available database size for your account plan. Once your database reaches its maximum allowed size you will no longer be able to accept orders or enter products.
Most customers will not require more than 100MB of space, however, if you receive this message, please take steps to reduce the amount of content stored within your database by deleting old data or upgrade your account plan to increase your database limit. Contact Tech Support or our Sales Team for further assistance.
Record ID Alert
Within the Administration Panel Homepage we have added an alert message that indicates the length of ID values. This message displays when the ID value for either the Customer, Order, or Product records have exceeded a length of nine. The alert prompts you to contact Tech Support for further assistance.
Improved Friendly Field Validation
Within any given element of the Administration Panel, if information is entered within a field that is not valid for that field type, you are alerted with what type of data is accepted for that field. For example, if a decimal such as 1.25 is entered within a Sort Code field, the alert message is "Sort Order accepts only numeric values 0123456789-". In addition, the validation of required fields has improved by setting appropriate maximum lengths for each field type.

Categories
A single main category has been expanded to allow a category hierarchy of up to 29 subcategories deep.
Customer Profiles - Required Fields
In order to ensure customer record integrity, new required values are in place for Customer Profiles.
Customer Profiles - Deletion
We have added the ability to delete a Customer Profile from within the profile page for convenience.
Advanced Variants
When a Product has Advanced Variants enabled, certain fields and options within the Simple Variant section will be disabled. This is to prevent changes to the Simple Variant values that will negatively impact existing advanced variant information.
A QuickGuide is available for more information: Managing Advanced Variants
Discount Codes
The Category associated with an existing Discount Code cannot be changed once it has been saved. To change the Category for a Discount Code you will now need to create a new Discount Code with the same name & code as the original and specify the new Category. The original discount code can then be deleted.
Site Wide Settings
The organization and labels for the Site Wide Settings have been modified for increased usability. The options were placed on new tabs in more logical groupings based on those options that change related things. The labels for the options have also been updated to detailed descriptions of their functions.

The maximum number of days that a shopping cart can be saved has been updated to 120 days.
Search Results Navigation
When multiple pages of results are returned within any Administration Panel section, the first 10 page links will be displayed. These links are followed by a link to view Next 10 Pages. Clicking the Previous and Next links will return search result pages in sets of 10. The Total number of records returned is also displayed.
Theme Builder
For precautionary measures, storeowners can no longer update a default software theme with your current site settings. Only themes created by you can be updated or deleted.
Site Security
The Mail Gateway field has been hidden to protect this data since this information should not be altered.
