New Features

There are four new features available in the MonsterCommerce software with the v4.2.2 release: The ability to Resend Order Emails, the ability to Hide/Display Category Navigation, the ability to Hide the Shipping Calculator, and the ability to Hide/Display Product Thumbnails within the Checkout Cart Details.

Resend Order Email

The Resend Order Email button allows Store Admins the ability to send Order Emails to the email address listed within the Order Editor. Order Emails may be resent regardless of the Order or Payment Status and will reflect the current email settings stored within the Admin Panel. The Admin Notes section of the Order Editor logs all instances where the Order Email has been resent. The Resend Order Email button is found within the Order Editor, Orders >> Store Orders >> "Order Status".

Steps to use the Resend Order Email:
  • Log in to the Admin Panel
  • Go to Orders >> Store Orders >> "Order Status"
  • Click Edit next to an order from that status list
  • Click on the Resend Order Email button
  • A confirmation note with the date and time the email was sent will appear at the top of the order editor

Note: The Resend Order Emails will not include Advanced Information such as Gift Certificate PIN Numbers or E-Product Log-In information for security purposes. This information must be resent through the appropriate areas of the Administration Panel.

Display Category Navigation Trail Options

This option gives Store Admins the ability to control how Category Navigation Trails (breadcrumbs) are displayed throughout the Category, Sub-Category, and Product pages of the storefront. The Display Category Navigation Trail Options allow Store Admins to hide the Navigation Trail completely, display the trail only on the top of the page, the bottom of the page, or on both the top and the bottom of the page.

To access this new option, log into the Admin Panel and go to Site Information >> Site Wide Settings, click on the "General Storefront" tab and Display Category Navigation Trail is the last option.

Note: The Display Category Navigation option will be preset to Top & Bottom after the v4.2.2 release.

Hide Shipping Calculator

There are two new options which will allow you to hide or display the Shipping Calculator. Display Shipping Calculator in Side Shopping Cart and Display Shipping Calculator on Cart Details Page. These options will allow Store Admins to disable the Shipping Calculator for both Real-time and Custom Shipping Methods. These options are found within the Global Settings of the Shipping Manager, Order Processing >> Shipping >> Shipping Manager.

Note: The Display Shipping Calculator Options will be preset to yes after the v4.2.2 release.

Note: Custom Shipping Methods must have the "Shop.Cart" Checkbox marked to be displayed within the shipping calculator.

Display Thumbnails in Checkout Cart Details

This option gives Store Admins the ability to Hide or Display Product Thumbnail Images within the Cart Display throughout all of the pages of Checkout, including the cart review.

To access this new option, log into the Admin Panel and go to Site Information >> Checkout Settings, click on the "Global Settings " tab and Display Product Thumbnail Images within Cart Display in Checkout is the last option before Checkout Labels.

Note: The Display Product Thumbnail Images within Cart Display in Checkout option will be preset to yes after the v4.2.2 release.
