Release Overview
The v4.3.2 software update is scheduled for release on Thursday, June
29th. The update will begin at 11:50 pm CST and be completed by 4:00 am
Friday, June 30th. The software update includes usability
and navigation enhancements to the software, new features, and corrections to known issues.
There are four sections to this document: Release Overview, New Features, Navigational Changes, and Usability Enhancements. Use the navigation links at the bottom of the page to browse each section.
New Functionality Added
The new functionality added to the software will help increase your search engine optimization and increase the overall efficiency of the daily operations for the software. These new options will decrease the time it takes you in setting up your site and product information.
- New Site Setup Wizard
- The new Site Setup Wizard breaks content down into four sections for greater usability. New functionality has been added to display your progress in the wizard.
- Add Product Images with the New Product Editor and Wizard
- A setting has been added to allow Store Admins to upload large and thumbnail product images through Product Wizard and Add a New Product Editor.
- Previous Button within the Add New Product Wizard
- A "Previous" button has been added within the New Product Wizard allowing you to return to the last step to make changes to information that was added.
- Forced 301 Redirect
- A more Search Engine Optimization friendly option has been added to your site security which will allow you to force a 301 redirect to your Domain Name.
- Display Current Logo Selection within the Logo Editor
- The Logo Editor will now display the logo that has currently been selected and saved in the middle of the page.
Usability and Navigation Enhancements
To enhance your overall experience using the MonsterCommerce Storefront Software we have made modifications to the menu system of the Admin Panel. We took your suggestions in reorganizing and renaming the menu system to help make each area more understandable and easier to use. There have also been changes to the software to increase your ability to easily setup your store and efficiently use the software.
- New Menu Structure
- The Admin Menu has been split into three sections and the existing menus have been reorganized into these areas.
- State Tax Management
- An update has been added to the State Tax Manager that provides useful tax information to help setup tax rates.
- UPS Registration
- UPS now requires all merchants to register individually for a free UPS Key.
Resolved Known Issues
The v4.3 release also addressed a set of known issues, some are highlighted below. For the full list of known issues resolved in this release visit the Version History section of the Knowledge Base.
- 1703 Euro Currency Symbol does not display when entered within the Site Wide Settings
- 2107 Euro Currency Symbol does not display within the Product Information on the Order Invoice
- 2341 Unable to activate a new Theme within the Admin Panel using Macintosh Safari browser
- 3018 New York Zip Code Taxes cannot be saved correctly as the Zip Tax field only handles 4 decimal places
- 3178 Foreign Currency Symbols do not display correctly within the Product Information on the Order Invoice
