There are seventeen new features available in the MonsterCommerce software with the v4.4.0 release: The ability to Automatically Retrieve your Admin Panel Password, the option to Add HTML to the Product Image Gallery, the ability to specify the Width and Height of the Product Image Gallery Window, the option to change Product Images with Variants, Free Shipping Discount Codes, the ability to specify Destinations for Custom Shipping Options, the option to Redirect the Buy Button, Two New Custom DRAWCART HTML Functions, the ability to Delete Files in Bulk through the File Manager, Browse by Categories and Subcategories menu display, the option to select the Number of Columns for the Homepage Specials, the option to Display Hidden Products in Search Results, the ability to Display the Item Count and Sort By options on the Category List Pages, the option to Hide Homepage Message Titles, a New Manufacturer HTML Field, and a New Google Analytics Integration.
Store Admin Users can now automatically retrieve their Admin Panel Passwords without contacting Technical Support. A "Forgot your password? Click here" link has been added to the Administration Panel login screen. From this link users will be directed to enter their Admin Panel login username. Once entered, an instructional email with a login link will be sent to the email on file within the Administrator Editor for that username.
To add an email address to a Store Admin Account: log in to the Admin Panel and go to : from the "Administration Tasks" section .
Note: For those Store Admin Accounts where an email address has not yet been setup; when the user attempts to retrieve their password automatically they will receive a message stating that there is no email address associated to their account.
This option gives you the ability to add your own custom HTML to the top and bottom of the Product Image Gallery. You can copy and paste HTML from a 3rd party program or use the built in WYSIWYG Editor.
To access this option; log into the Admin Panel and go to : from the "Design Manager" section.
Two new Site Wide Settings have been added. These will allow you to specify the exact width and height of the Product Image Gallery pop-up window. Found under the "Product List & Details", these settings will be set in pixels and have defaults values of 355(height) and 400(width).
To access these new settings: log into the Admin Panel and go to , from the "Design Manager" section.
This feature allows you to upload one new product image for each individual product variant.
To use this feature click the “Browse” link located beneath each variant option to enter the File Manager. Select the Variant Image for that option to return to the Product Editor. From the "Variants Tab" click the "Enable Variant Images" button within the Simple Product Variants Editor.
To access this new option: log into the Admin Panel and go to , from the "Sales Manager" section.
With this release you will have the option to create Free Shipping Discount Codes for your storefront. These Discount Codes can be used as a Cookie, entered as a code at Checkout, or a combination of both. The Free Shipping Discount Code does not need to be associated with a category when setup.
To access this new option: log into the Admin Panel and go to , from the "Sales Manager" section.
This feature allows you to select a "Destination Option" for individual Custom Shipping Options. Three Destination Options have been added to the Custom Shipping Manager; Domestic Only, International Only, Domestic and International.
To use this feature for a new option select one of the three radio button options before adding a new shipping option.
To access these new settings: log into the Admin Panel and go to , from the "Sales Manager" section.
Note: The Destination Options will default to "Domestic and International", if no selection is made this will be the option selected. Changes to the Destination Options may be made after a New Custom Shipping Option has been created.
You now have five options to select where the "Buy" button will be redirected to from product listings. The five options that you have to select from are as listed:
Note: If you have a custom index.html the Homepage redirect for the buy button will still redirect your customers to the index.asp page of the storefront.
To access these new settings: log into the Admin Panel and go to , from the "Design Manager" section.
A new Custom DRAWCART HTML Function, < %DRAWCART3% >, has been added. DRAWCART3 is left-aligned and set to use 100% column width, for an enhanced look and feel on the frontend.
A new Custom DRAWCART HTML Function, < %DRAWCART4% >, has been added. DRAWCART4 is center-aligned and set to use 100% column width, for an enhanced look and feel on the frontend.
You now have the ability to delete multiple files through the File Manager. Within the File Manager you will find checkboxes to the right of each file listing. Mark each file that you wish to delete, click the "Delete Selected Files" button at the bottom of the page to mass delete the files.
To access this functionality: log in to your Admin Panel and click on the button from the "QuickLinks" menu bar.
A new menu option has been added to the Left and Right Column Display Options. You can now set these columns to "Browse by Categories and Subcategories"
When customers visit the storefront, the category navigation will appear in a single list. When customer clicks on a category which contains subcategories, the menu will expand. The subcategories will display directly below and indented to the right of the main category link. Customers will now have the option to select from any of the subcategories as well as the main category.
To access this new option: log into the Admin Panel and go to &, from the "Design Manager" section.
This feature allows you to specify the number of columns displayed on the homepage for product specials.
You can set the number of columns of products for the Homepage Specials between one and four.
To access this new option: log into the Admin Panel and go to , from the "Design Manager" section.
Note: For existing sites, this option will default to the same value as the setting for "Number of Columns in Product Lists".
Note: For new sites, this option will default to "2" columns until a Store Admin changes this setting.
You now have the option to allow hidden products to be displayed within search results on the frontend. Products will continue to be hidden within the category navigation. When customers perform a Basic or Advanced search all products that relate to the search terms will display, regardless of their status.
To access this new setting: log into the Admin Panel and go to , from the "Design Manager" section.
Note: The default value for this option will be set to "No".
Two new Site Wide Settings have been added to the storefront. These options allow you to control the display of the Item Count and Sort By options on the Category List Pages.
To access these new options: log into the Admin Panel and go to , from the "Design Manager" section.
Note: The default value for both options will be set to "Yes".
This feature allows you to hide Homepage Message Titles from being displayed on the index page.
To use this feature, mark the checkbox underneath the "Hide Title" option within the Homepage Messages Editor. Click the "Save" button to update current messages and the "Add" button to create a new message with the title hidden from display.
To access this new option: log into the Admin Panel and go to , from the "Design Manager" section.
You now have the option to add your own custom HTML for each individual Manufacturer. When customers navigate using the Browse by Manufacturer option, HTML entered will display on the landing page for that Manufacturer.
To use this feature, browse to a single Manufacturer within the Manufacturer Manager, and click on the "Options" link. Once the Manufacturer options expand, the Manufacturer HTML Field will display at the bottom of the options.
To access this new option: log into the Admin Panel and go to , from the "Sales Manager" section.
Note: The Manufacturer HTML field does not have a WYSIWYG Editor. You will need to copy and paste HTML or enter your information manually.
Two new settings have been added to allow you to enable a Google Analytics Account with your MonsterCommerce Storefront. When enabled, information for each page visited within the store will be sent to Google Analytics, along with all items within the Shopping Cart.
To enable this feature, browse System Options tab within , at the bottom you will find two new settings; Google Analytics Enabled and Google Analytics Account. Make sure that the Google Analytics Enabled dropdown is set to "Yes" and enter your Google Analytics Account number into the second text field. Click on the "Save" button to enable all settings.
To access this new option: log into the Admin Panel and go to , from the "Design Manager" section.
Note: You must enter the full alphanumeric Google Account Number. For example, if your account number is UA-123456-7, please enter the all digits including dashes into the field.
Note: You must already have a Google Analytics Account created; enabling this option within the MonsterCommerce Storefront will NOT create a new Google Analytics Account.
