To do this, you will need to set up a Custom Shipping option. Go to Checkout >> Shipping >> Shipping Manager. Within the General Shipping Settings, be sure that you have Custom & Real-Time Shipping or just Custom selected. Within the Add a New Custom Shipping Option, you will create your shipping method. To charge by weight, do not select the By Price This will enable the shipping method to be based on weight instead of price. Then, set up your weight ranges and the correct information will show when a product’s weight falls into that range.
