New Features

There are many new and exciting features with the new MonsterDataPort 5.0 software.

Data handled using DataPort v5.0

The following types of data may be uploaded to DataPort:

Note: The data types that are in bold are new functionalities in DataPort v5.0

Offline Capability

Now DataPort allows you to work in offline mode, i.e. work with the application when not connected to the internet. Connect to the internet only to download information from the online storefront or to send changes to the storefront.

Once data is in the DataPort application, you have the option to work in offline mode and then connect to the internet to process only those specific actions.

Import Wizard

New Import Wizard Interface

The new Import wizard has an easy-to-use interface that allows you to import large amounts of data into DataPort, and gives instant information on whether or not the record imported to DataPort successfully.

The Import wizard also allows you to create multiple import templates that can help in scenarios where different import formats are used to import the same data.

The following data types can be imported into DataPort 5.0 using the Import Wizard:

Export Functionality

Store Configuration Wizard

Store Configuration Wizard
  • DataPort 5.0 allows you to set up multiple stores and then switch between any of your stores quickly and easily.
  • The Store Configuration wizard helps you to set up a store in DataPort 5.0
  • It offers additional features, such as upgrading configured stores in DataPort ( in case of new releases of DataPort), and a clean way to remove configured stores from DataPort.

Usability Enhancements

New User Interface and Tree View

DataPort 5.0 has a completely new look and feel, and an intuitive interface.

The data types that are handled are organized and displayed in a tree view for easy access.

  • Each data type has its own section where the lists of records are displayed.
  • A list of records can be sorted and filtered based on different criteria.
  • Advanced error handling features display to you the action that caused an error
  • DataPort has the option to selectively send to or receive data from the storefront.
