In order to activate your Domain Name while using the MonsterCommerce Shopping Cart Software you will first need to check the shared SSL path for your site.
If you did not register your Domain Name with Network Solutions and your shared SSL path (third level domain) contains the words '.netsolstores.com' please follow these steps:
1. Log in to your Registrar 2. Edit your Domain Name 3 Update your DNS Records (Name Server settings) to the following entries
CNAME Record (Your Domain Name): YOURSITE.NETSOLSTORES.COM. (Third level domain)
CNAME Record (*Your Domain Name): YOURSITE.NETSOLSTORES.COM. (Third level domain
For E-mail:
MX Record (Your Domain Name): 10 INBOUND.YOURDOMAINNAME.COM.NETSOLMAIL.NET.
CNAME Records (Mail.DomainName.Com): MAIL.YOURDOMAINNAME.COM.NETSOLMAIL.NET.
CNAME Records (SMTP.DomainName.Com): SMTP.YOURDOMAINNAME.COM.NETSOLMAIL.NET.
Note: 'YOURDOMAINNAME.COM' stands for the actual Domain Name that you have registered for your site. The phrases (third level domain) and yoursite.netsolstores.com stand for the shared SSL path given to your store when you started.
If the shared SSL path (third level domain) contains the words '.monstercommercesites.com' please follow these steps:
1. Log in to your Registrar 2. Edit your Domain Name 3 Update your DNS Records (Name Server settings) to the following entries
Primary Host Name: DNS1.MONSTERCOMMERCE.COM OR Primary Host IP: 207.97.194.155
Secondary Host Name: DNS2.MONSTERCOMMERCE.COM OR Secondary Host IP: 207.97.194.157
Note: Once the DNS settings take effect and your domain is online, please discontinue use of your IP address and use only your Domain Name. When your DNS is successfully changed, your email will begin working. If you have a third-level domain, like shop.yourdomain.com or yourdomain.co.uk, please do not change your DNS over immediately. Please consult with our Tech Support before moving your Domain Name.
