This QuickGuide is for users of the 2Checkout Payment Gateway. The 2Checkout Payment Gateway is an off-site gateway, similar to the PayPal Standard Payment Gateway. Customers to the store will be directed to the 2Checkout website in order to complete checkout. Once completed, they will then be redirected back to the store to view the Order Confirmation page. To ensure the best overall customer experience, please follow the setup instructions for the 2Checkout Admin Settings as well as the MonsterCommerce Admin Panel.

Configure the 2Checkout Settings

Note: In order to set up 2Checkout as a gateway for processing payments from the MonsterCommerce System, the 2Checkout Gateway system will need to be Version 2.

  1. Log into the 2Checkout account
  2. Cut and paste this URL into the address bar of an open browser:
    https://www2.2checkout.com/2co/login
  3. Once logged in, click the “Setting up your Site” link
  4. Click the “Click Here” link after the text “If you use a shopping cart please”
  5. Click the “Click Here” link after the text “If your shopping cart used Authorize.net parameters please”
  6. Scroll down and click the “You can do so here” link under the “Return Parameters” section
  7. The section titled “Direct Return” must be set to “NO”.
    This 2Checkout function is currently not operational.
  8. The section titled “Approved URL” will return those customers who have been verified and approved for payment to the storefront.
    For customers to be redirected correctly cut and paste this URL into the text box directly below the section title:
    https://<your secure path>/SiteReturn/2Checkout/2CheckoutReturn.asp
  9. The section titled “Pending URL” will return those customers who have failed to be approved, or who cannot be verified immediately.
    MonsterCommerce recommends creating a custom page explaining the steps to proceed for these customers to be redirected.
    Cut and paste the URL into the box directly below the section title.
  10. Click the “Save” button located at the lower right side of the page to modify these settings.

Configure the the MonsterCommerce Storefront Software

  1. Log into the MonsterCommerce Admin Panel from your Network Solutions Account Manager
  2. Go to Checkout >> Online Payment Manager
  3. From the Available Payment Gateways dropdown menu select 2Checkout
  4. Click on the Edit Settings button
  5. Enter the information for each of the Gateway Settings
  6. Click Save

Note: Test Mode for 2Checkout may be enabled by marking the “Test Mode Only” checkbox then clicking the save button.
Merchants should verify that this option has been disabled before going live with the storefront.
