CyberSource

This QuickGuide is for users of the CyberSource Payment Gateway. In order to set up CyberSource as your gateway for processing payments from your MonsterCommerce store, you will need to know which type of user you are; Business Center User or Enterprise Business Center User. If you are not sure what type of account you are using, look at the registration email that you received when your company opened an account with CyberSource.

Getting Started

The CyberSource gateway requires you to generate a security key and have it uploaded to your MonsterCommerce store. The purpose of the security key is to prevent others from using your account and to protect your data. This also ensures that all transactions originate from your web site and that no one, not even CyberSource, can run transactions on your store's behalf by using your private key. This QuickGuide steps you through the process of creating your CyberSource Security Key.

Once you create the Security Key, you will download and save the file to your computer. To upload the file to your store, go to Checkout >> Online Payment Manager. Select CyberSource from the Gateway Options drop down menu and click the Edit button. Click the Browse button under the Upload Your .p12 File Here section. Select your file, click open, then click the Upload button in your Admin Panel.

A Java applet is used to create your security key. You will need to download the latest revision of Java. The download is available, free, at www.java.com.

Note: The security key file that is created will be 3KB.

MC & CyberSource Integration

The MonsterCommerce and CyberSource Integration offer a number of features.

MonsterCommerce clients who use CyberSource for online payment processing will have the advantage of being able to choose from the two account options that are offered through CyberSource.
