How to use the Site Setup Wizard

If this is the first time you have logged in to your Admin Panel there will be a splash page with a link leading to the Site Setup Wizard. If you have already visited the Admin Panel previously, you can launch the the Site Setup Wizard button from the Quick Links Menu in the Admin Panel. From the front page of the wizard you can either choose a to go directly to a content page by clicking on the links from the center content area or the left side navigation. You can also launch the wizard and walk through all of the content pages in order by clicking on the "Click Here to Start the Wizard" button, located at both the top and bottom of the page.

From each content screen, enter as much information as you can for your business, there will be some fields that are required to continue. Each page will have the option to skip the step and move onto the next page, and to save the information you have entered and move onto the next page. Once you have completed the wizard you will have the option to enable your store. Enabling your store will remove the default maintenance page so that the store will function as a standard site.

At anytime you have the option to exit the wizard and save the information that you have entered to that point. In the upper right hand corner, click on the "Exit Wizard" button. This will take you to a page displaying a summary of what you have completed within the wizard. Click the close button to exit to the Admin Panel home page.

You can access your Admin Panel while the Site Setup Wizard is open by clicking on the "Open Admin Panel" button from the upper right hand corner. If your Admin Panel is not already open, it will open in a new window. If it is open currently, then your web browser will shift to that window.

Store Operations

Store Information: This page will walk you through the setup of your general business information including your domain name, address, customer service

email address, and general settings for your store.

Shipping Information: This page will walk you through the setup of the shipping for your store including shipping methods, Carriers, and general settings.

Tax Information: This page will walk you through the setup of the tax rates for your store including what address to base your tax rates on and

configuring the rates themselves.

Payment Information: This page will walk you through the setup of your payment preferences, if you would prefer to accept credit card payments or

not, if you would like to authorize payment at the time of the order, and if yes, what payment gateway you will be using.

Design & Layout

Store Theme: This page will walk you through the selection of one of our professionally designed themes, which come included with the

MonsterCommerce software.

Upload Logo: This page will help you upload your own custom logo to your store.

Product List Template: This page gives a selection of six variations on the settings for the Product List page, how your products will display within each

category.

Fonts: This page will allow you to select an overall font type and size for your site.

Product Information

Add Categories: This page will walk you through the setup of Categories for your store.

Add Manufacturers: This page will walk you through the setup of Manufacturers for your store.

Add Products: This page will walk you through the setup of Products for your store.

 

Site Content

Choose Pages: This page will walk you through the selection of the additional information pages that you want to include for your store.

Page Content: This page will walk you through adding the content for any informational pages that you selected from the previous page.
