MyAP™ Technical Information
My Affiliate Program™ Software is a “web based” application separate from MonsterCommerce. There is no software to download! The software runs on servers at the Kowabunga! Technologies' data center. Nothing for you to maintain, install or update!
There are two parts to this affiliate software: the administration of the program and the integration of the software into the MonsterCommerce software. My Affiliate Program™ Software (MyAP) handles the administration, once you sign up for their software, there are no modifications needed to start signing up and managing your affiliates. The integration, however, is up to you, the store administrator.
There are several integration methods, however MonsterCommerce uses the “Shopping Cart Integration.”
Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate Marketing is a referral-based strategy, also known as revenue sharing, where merchants pay affiliates commissions for sending business their way.
Store owners will not have to pay for advertising with the affiliates until a sale occurs.
Shopping Cart Integration
In order for the My Affiliate Program™ Software system to post a pending commission to an affiliate's account, your MonsterCommerce site must communicate with their system and send it information about the order.
This is done by adding one URL to the provided field within Plug-Ins >> MYAP on your MonsterCommerce administration panel.
Once your customer has completed the checkout process, the MonsterCommerce system will call MyAP, verify that the order was placed through an affiliate, add a pending commission if applicable and then return to the page.
MYAP Settings
- Active
- This check box, when selected, tells the MonsterCommerce software that your site is now active with MyAffiliateProgram.
- Domain Name
- Once you have signed up with MYAP, you will enter the URL (See Example below) in this field.
- Submit
- This action completes the setup. Clicking this makes your Affiliate Program active.

Note: You will replace USERNAME with the username that is provided to you once you are registered with My Affiliate Program™ Software.
