Summary

Froogle

Shopzilla's Comparison Shopping site is the easiest and most cost effective way to reach targeted buyers while giving you the control over the price you pay for traffic. There are no set up fees; you only pay for clicks directed to your online store.

Shopzilla allows you to list your products within both of their shopping search engines; Shopzilla and BizRate. When consumers search these sites your products will appear in the search results. If a shopper clicks on your listing, they are directly linked to your online store.

Creating Your Data Feed File

Froogle

A data feed is a file that contains a listing of your products.

To create your Data feed file:

  2. Click on the “Product” link from the left side menu tree
  3. You will see your products listed in the main screen
  4. Select the “Export” button from the top menu bar for the product list screen

  6. Select “Shopzilla” from the drop down menu
  7. Select the status for this export
  8. Select the “Export” button
  9. Save the file to your hard drive.

Note: DataPort 5.0 will not export hidden products or products that have hidden Manufacturers.

Note: You must synchronize new products with your store online before exporting these products in the Shopzilla format or the Image and Product links will be broken.

Note: DataPort 5.0 will remove all HTML from both the Product Name and Product Description fields.

Note: DataPort 5.0 will generate the product feed based on your store’s category listings. By default your Shopzilla product feed assign all products to the “Others” Category. To map your categories to the Shopzilla categories, Click Here.

Note: Products which have a Price field set to $0 will fail when uploaded to Shopzilla, this will include all products with “costxmarkup” selected, advanced variants, or have “call for pricing” selected.

The export file name MUST be the same every time you send your feed to Shopzilla, this file is case sensitive. Shopzilla will give you the option to append to your current product listings or overwrite entirely with each upload. Please make sure that you are selecting the correct option at this point as it will take up to 36 hours after each upload for the status of the products to update on the website. After an upload is approved, Shopzilla will send an email notification to your account. Shopzilla limits the size of the upload files to a maximum of 1MB. For larger upload files, generate smaller export files with fewer products per file and upload individually.
