With the addition of PayPal Website Payments Pro changes were made to the Storefront Checkout pages.
If PayPal Express Checkout is enabled an image will display on the first step of checkout. Along with the image is the text
Save time. Checkout securely. Pay without sharing your financial information.
This image and the associated text
are displayed whether the site has 2-Step or 4-Step Checkout enabled. They are displayed below the Custom HTML section
to allow Store Admins the opportunity to add any notes they feel necessary.
Note: The PayPal image and text on the first step of checkout are not editable.
The option to pay using PayPal Express Checkout is also added on the last step of the 2-Step and 4-Step Checkout processes. If
a customer does not click the PayPal Express button at the begining of checkout and continues through the normal checkout workflow
they will still have the option to pay using PayPal Express. The display of the PayPal Express option at the end of checkout is
similar to all other payment methods and can be edited using the Online Payment Manager found under Checkout >> Online Payment Manager. The default description includes a small PayPal image and the text Save time.
Checkout securely. Pay without sharing your financial information.
Note: Unlike the image and text at the begining of checkout, the image and text at the end of checkout are editable.
PayPal Direct Payment is displayed at the end of the checkout process in the same manner as all other payment options. In order to customize the display of Direct Payment, log in to the Admin Panel and navigate to Checkout >> Online Payment Manager. Once PayPal Direct Payment is selected from the Available Payment Gateways dropdown, a Store Admin can edit the settings. Editable areas include the Payment Type, Cost Modifier, Sort Order, Description, and Order Confirmation Message.
